Blank Canvas

Everything we do needs a starting point. We don’t have to know our destination but should do our best to enjoy the journey. My journey is my process, and it always begins with a blank canvas. We all exist with an outer life as well as an inner life. When we learn to connect the two, we can create a starting point for living a life of harmony. Our blank canvas!

“Life is a blank canvas, and you need to throw all the paint on it you can.”

Danny Kaye

I am no different from any other creative person out there. I was fearful to the point I didn’t know where to begin. Then you realize that your life will be nothing more than a pile of unused canvas, old paint, and long colored pencils with very sharp points.

“Here’s the truth: Every day is a new year. Each new dawn is the blank canvas to paint into being. Sketch in your vision of you, then bring her to life each day.”

LeAura Anderson

Thoughts and ideas without action steps will not remove the blank canvas from our lives. If fear is the tool you are using to write, photograph, or make things, you will never have anything to look at. Your ending point will always be a blank canvas. Find the courage to share your inner life with the world outside of you.

“If life is a blank canvas and all people are artists, the big challenge we all face may be expressed this way: Will we ultimately produce something approaching a masterpiece, an acceptable but not particularly memorable work of art, or a creation that wouldn’t even be purchased at a yard sale?”

Mardy Grothe

There is no better day to find your starting point, let go of your fears, and enjoy your journey.

“The starting point is always now. The end is up to you.”

Ron Kaufman
