On a recent trip to the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, I was looking out the window of the hotel in an old mill city we were staying. North Adams has turned into a wonderful, creative epicenter in this part of the state. I couldn’t help but think about the amazing job they have done with repurposing their city. Thoughts like this make me think about how we go about repurposing our own lives over the years.

Different stages of our lives come with opportunities to repurpose what is already within us. When we open ourselves up to the kindness of change we can have a better understanding of what really matters to us. There is no need to toss aside the old, a little repurposing of who we already are is all that is needed to become sustainable beyond our own beliefs.

Life is still a series of steps. Each step comes with a chance to reflect on all of them, before, after, and the one you are about to take. I’m enjoying all of it, each day, and everything that comes along with it!
