If we enjoy something there is usually an emotional connection to something we are doing or something we have experienced. Enjoyment can be brought on by our thoughts of a past experience or the anticipation of one which is yet to come.

Of course if we are lucky enough to be mindful of the present, we increase our chances of noticing the things around us which can bring unlimited enjoyment as well. Such is the case with this photograph from the San Francisco Botanical Garden. If I could describe a flower that was a cross between cotton candy and salt water taffy, this would be it!

We were in a test garden of Dahlias and little did I know there were so many different types of this beautiful flower. The weather was cool, almost cold actually, and the sun was tucked behind the clouds for the day. However, a cloudy day is perfect for bringing out the neon like highlights to this beautiful plant.

A trip to the Botanical Garden was an opportunity to gather some fresh content for my growing portfolio of flowers. Bumping into this brilliant display of so many exotic looking flowers was a bonus on a cloudy day. Enjoy!
