Hope
We are different, but that doesn’t mean we can’t all exist together and thrive! Maybe we need to start listening to a different narrative. Instead of finding fault in each other, why not look for the beauty in everything surrounding us? What would the world look like if we all agreed about everything? We are here to challenge and grow from each other, not destroy our fellow citizens because they look, act, or speak differently.

None of us came into this world as a vehicle of hate and cynicism. We never thought about who was right or wrong. We even had a group of “imaginary friends.” We created our world without being told how it should be made. We agreed to disagree, and it was pure and natural. Ah, kids!

Is it any wonder that a child asks “why” as often as they do? We strip them of their get-along-with-everything world and begin to infuse them with our narrative, which had been spoon-fed to us since we were in the land of get-along! We can learn a lot by returning to living our lives on more unconditional terms. Even those who are different and don’t share our opinions can still be our “imaginary friends!”
