The cold, dark grey sky, empty boat slips, no human sightings, all in stark contrast to what would be expected during the summer months along the Mattapoisett Town Wharf. The sun, missing in action for a photographers session which included the satiny stillness of what would be busy harbor waters during the warmer days of summer.

Yet, as still as the waters message, there is a deep serenity shouting of the solitude of winter. A quiet, which delivers a beauty that takes a mindful patience to fully appreciate., a reminder of how the noise and bustling of our busy lives seeks solace in other places. We miss these moments!

Nature with whatever means she has, goes on to choreograph the kind of beauty not meant to be flaunted in front of us, but instead a challenge to notice all of the imperfect perfections which mimic our own lives.
