I was just in time when I took this photo while in Old Quebec City a few years ago. You are looking at a large outdoor clock in a glass case in front of a hotel. If you look carefully you can see the pulley and gear mechanism attached to the pendulum.

What struck me about this view though was the sudden stillness of everyone while time continued to move forward. In just seconds my field of view would completely change. The reflection of the tablet to the left would vanish, the women taking a cell phone photo walked away, and two of the people on the bench on the opposite side of the clock would stand up to leave.

The missing face, with the wide brim hat in the center of the clock is me! Part of mulitple juxtapositions for this shot, captured for the briefest of moments, as if frozen in time!
