The hardest thing I have ever tried to do in my life is initiate the kind of change to make me feel consistently different. Not the kind of change that makes me look different to the outside world, but the kind of change that happens from the inside out.

The easy part is to ignore the call to stand out and stand up to what I believe. The work begins when I come to the realization that what I believe is not always what is right. The work continues when I keep adding elements of change to my old ways of seeing things.

My hope is that eventually, the small improvements I make will set aside the kind of fear that prevent me standing up to myself and allow me to stand out in the only way that matters, inside of myself!
