Most Valuable Resource

You can’t buy more time, no matter how hard you try. We spend a lot of time complaining about not having enough, but we also spend a lot of time wishing time away.

We’re never going to have a perfectly clean house or catch up on everything at work. An empty inbox only means more emails, tasks, and multitasking.

I’m reading Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman. In it, Burkeman says that if we turn our life expectancy into weeks, we’d be shocked at how little time we actually have. He’s talking about an average life expectancy without anything bad happening to shorten it.

So, do the math: how many years do you hope to live? Now, turn those years into weeks! I know, right? It’s shocking! How many weeks do you have left based on how many years you hope to live? How much time have you wished away?

Don’t worry, there’s still time! It’s time to change your mindset, tear up your task list, and get rid of your multitasking habit. Your life is full of time to enjoy new experiences, one moment at a time!
