I’m On The Right Track
After ten years of writing each day, believing that time is what makes me rich, I have come to the realization that I will die a poor man if I don’t share what I create. A foundational fear with no merit other than the voice in my head got me into playing kick the can with the “someday disease.” Have you self-diagnosed with this condition as well?
“Someday is not a day of the week.”
Denise Brennan-Nelson
I was critiquing my own thoughts about stuff that were only thoughts. If I didn’t set all of this creativity free I would never give a real critic a fair chance of having an opinion about me. A critic you say? Don’t shutter now, we all have opinions which means there is nothing special about critics.
All of my thoughts are actually a collection of different stories in my mind. Stories that made sense to me but were missing the kind of voice I thought I needed so they would make sense to all of you. So instead of trying to silence the voice in my head I decided to let it keep talking. lol!
“Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.”
Roy T. Bennett
This new process got me to stop treating my thoughts like books, read them once and then put them on the shelf to collect dust. What I share with you doesn’t belong to me, it is all a gift from my creator and the universe. It was never meant to be put up on the shelf, it is to be added to and then set free once again.
Why was I waiting for the track to be clear before I set out on my journey? I don’t know, but I do know I can’t worry about that now. It was Einstein who said, “creativity is contagious, pass it on.” I couldn’t agree more and I am blessed to realize the only thing sitting on my hands was doing was making them feel like they were full of pins and needles.
“One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now.”
Paulo Coelho
Pay attention to your calendar folks. Make sure that you are really paying attention to the day you’re in. This is the only one that matters, and the only one you can make the most of!
“Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.”
Jim Rohan
