Settled

Over time, if we don’t challenge our own thinking, seeking new areas of fresh ideas, an acceptance to do better, we may fall victim to our own settling. When this happens we can lose our edge, become worn even rusted when faced with new challenges. There will be a risk of lying dormant after a life of so much activity.

We can continue to share wisdom in the face of aging if we chose a path that is ready to listen to new ideas, even when those ideas are not our own. There is a lot of beauty that comes from a life full of accrued wisdom. You can choose to let it wear itself away, or share it through little acts of kindness before it no longer exists.
